Glen McCormick passed away peacefully at the age of 80 with his family by his side. Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 61 years, Sarah; sons Randy (Trish) and Bill; and daughter Carole (Teha) Zanidean. He is also loved and missed by his grandchildren and their children, who brought him great joy: Rachel (Brent), Charlotte and Quinten; Vanessa, Savannah and Isabella; Crystal (Devon), Austin and Sierra; Al (Jenn), Kaleb and Becka; and Samantha (Lyle), Addison and Hayden. They will all miss his jokes and commitment to family. Glen was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Alma, and his brother Bob.

Glen was born and raised in Morse, Saskatchewan. In 1954, his family moved to Swift Current and Glen began his 35 year career at the Pioneer Co-op. After his retirement, Glen was a member of the Pioneer Co-op Board of Directors for over ten years. He was active in the community, spending many years on the Swift Current public school board, and working with the Chamber of Commerce and United Way. A keen hockey fan, Glen was a Buckaroo for the Swift Current Broncos.

Glen and Sarah moved to Lloydminster in 2010 to be closer to family. Following a decline in his health, Glen moved to Dr. Cooke Extended Care in 2013. His family appreciates the excellent care he received while there.

The June 17th funeral service at McCaw Funeral Home will be led by Pastor Paul Douval, with internment at Lloydminster Cemetery. Donations in Glen`s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
