Peacefully passed away at the Mount Continuing Care Community on Wednesday , June 15, 2016 , in his 89th year. Formerly of Cumberland, South Shore he was the beloved husband of Lillian (nee Quinn) Quilty. He is also fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law Marguerite (Duffy), Mary Wilson, and brother-in-law Earl Quinn. John will be also sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family, friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by his parents John and Loretta (Roberts) Quilty, his brother William "Billy" Quilty, nephew Ronnie Quilty, sisters-in-law Muriel Hogan (Willard), Freda Quinn and brothers-in-law Chester Quinn and Daryl Wilson. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home for visiting hours on Friday, June 17th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral will be held on Saturday, June 18th with funeral mass from St. Francis of Assisi Church Cornwall at 10:30 a.m.
