Anna Hanley

HANLEY, ANNA
Anna Gertrude Hanley passed away at the York Care Centre, Fredericton on Thursday, June 16th, 2016. Anna was born in Chipman on April 24th, 1923 the daughter of the late Philip and Susan (Friel) McGinley.

She is survived by her children, Maureen Hanley of Sudbury, ON and Michael (Barbara) Hanley of Edmonton, AB; brothers, Bud (Vesta) of Fredericton, NB, Wilie of Saint John, NB and Eugene (Anne Marie) of Chipman, NB; sister, Judith Ramshaw of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Aaron, Myles and Marissa; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Anna graduated from Chipman superior School in 1940 and Mount Carmel Acadamy in 1941. She loved to golf and was her own chauffer until she reached the age of 90. Anna will be lovingly missed by her family and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Lorne Hanley (DFC); brothers, Edward, Jack (Mona) and Burns.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Friday, June 24th, 2016 at 11:00 am with Father Paul ErZoah–Bebodu officiating. At Anna's request there will be no visitation.

Donations in memory of Anna may be made to the St. Joseph's Building fund or St. Joseph's Cemetery Fund.
