1929 - 2016

Cocagne, NB – Adélard Richard, 87, passed away peacefully at the Villa Providence in Shediac, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, June 23, 2016.

Born in Cocagne, NB, he was the son of the late Pascal and the late Amanda Richard (nee Goguen).

Adélard will be sadly missed by his son, Charles (Debbie) of Cocagne; by his two daughters, Murielle Cormier (Eugène Gautreau) of Memramcook and Francine Léger (Omer) of Cocagne; by his sister, Ethel Fougère (late Robert) of Shediac Bridge; by his brother, Arthur Richard (Eva) of Dieppe; by his three sisters-in-law, Géraldine Richard of Saint-Antoine, Elizabeth Richard of Cocagne and Cécile Richard of Shediac; by his eight grandchildren, Stéphane, Marc, Micheline, Mathieu, Julie, Marc-André, Shelby and Devin; by his eleven great grandchildren, Mélanie, Nadia, Janie, Patrick, Yanic, Mia, Audrey, Zoé, Chloé, Kaylee and Adèle; also by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine Richard (LeBlanc) (2014); by one son, Maurice (1957); by four sisters, Léa Désprès, Eva Léger, Doris Melanson and Florence Désprès; by his four brothers, Lionel, Henri, Laurie and Léandre.

Visitations will be at the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne Roman Catholic Church slumber room in Cocagne on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 9:30 am to 10:45am. Funeral service will be held at the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne Roman Catholic Church in Cocagne on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 11 am. Burial to follow in the parish.
