Trenton - Anna Marie MacKay, age 92, of Trenton, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow on September 2, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Victoria (MacDonald) MacKay.
She was raised in Trenton, attended Trenton schools and the Maritime Business College. In 1943, she joined the CWAC, Halifax H2 Atlantic Command, serving with the rank of Sergeant. She retired from Scott Paper, storage department, in 1988.
Marie loved animals and enjoyed feeding the birds and animals; she enjoyed her garden and plants; she enjoyed reading and watching TV and researching family genealogy. She always enjoyed her time with her various nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters, Jean Sinclair, Margaret Forbes and a brother, Hugh.

There will be no visitation or funeral by request. Graveside committal service will be held at 2 pm Monday at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
Donations in her memory may be made to the S.P.C.A. or a charity of choice.
