FOUGÈRE, ÉLIE
1942–2016
Élie Fougère, 83, of the Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of LeBlanc Ave, Shediac, passed away on Monday June 27, 2016 at the Dr. Georges–L.–Dumont UHC. Born on May 19, 1933 in Point–du–Chêne, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Pheobe (Henderickson) Fougère.

Before his retirement, he was a cement finisher.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Marie Fougère; seven children: Annette Bourque (Robert) of Shediac River, Lorette Fougère (Edgar Landry) of Alberta, Yvette Arsenault, Joseph Cormier, Gerard (Bernadette), Alphonse (Dorothé) and Roger (Maria Gallant) all of Shediac; one sister, Bessie MacGarvie of Ottawa; 12 grandchildren; eight great–grandchildren; two great–great–grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his children: Lucille, Roland, Frank and Gerard; two sisters: Marjorie and Iva; two brothers: Frank and Donald.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532–3297) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Thursday, June 30th, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours are Wednesday, June 29th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral. Interment will be in the St–Joseph cemetery, Shediac.

In memory of Élie, a contribution to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
