BROWN, HAZEL M. (VAIL)
It is with sadness the family of Hazel M. Brown of Fredericton announce her passing peacefully at her home on June 28, 2016. Born in McAdam, NB, September 3, 1935 she was a daughter of the late Ralston and Martha (Hawthorne) Vail.

She is the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been predeceased by four sisters and four brothers.

Hazel graduated from McAdam High School in 1953 and later graduated from the Victoria Public Hospital of Nursing in 1957, where she worked for a short time following the birth of her three children. She returned to nursing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital for 25 years retiring in 2000.

She leaves behind her loving children Ronnie Brown (Cheryle), Vicky, and Susan Graham (Andrew); seven grandchildren Candice McIntyre (Curtis), Lindsay McCaffrey (Justin), Shannon Murray (Brian), Chelsey and Jordan Brown, Jill and Nicholas Graham; three great–grandchildren Jayden McIntyre, Kane and Charlotte Murray; numerous nieces and nephews.

As per Hazel’s wishes and following cremation, there will be no visitation. A private burial will take place in the family plot in the Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, NB.
