GODDARD, BURTON LEE
1945 – 2016

Burton L. Goddard of Riverview, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 2 ,2016. Born in Wheaton Settlement, he was the son of the late Willard and Pearl (Campbell) Goddard.

He owned and operated Goddard’s Drapery and Flooring Ltd. from 1972 – 2002, during that time he was know for the personal service he gave to his customers. An avid outdoorsman he certainly was, whether it was hunting, fishing, cutting wood or just to appreciate nature itself. His later years it was the quality time spent at the trailer in River Glade with his wife, Joyce and his family that was dear to him.

Left with cherished memories are his wife, Joyce (McCluskey) Goddard, sons; Erik (Kate Howe) of River Glade, Neal and Steven both of Riverview, a sister, Darlene Collier (Phillip), brothers; Sterling (Florence), Gary (Susan), Brent (Julie) and Darryl, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family extends and invitation to friends and family to join them for a time to share and celebrate Burton’s life at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007), on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
