Salt Springs - “Stormin” Norman Walker Gardner, age 69, of Salt Springs, Pictou Co., formerly of Halifax, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late George and Jean (Bottomley) Gardner. He was a painter by trade, and was retired from the Halifax Painting Union.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and driving his Harley “Big Blue”. He was a member of the Simple Men Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by a daughter, Tegan Gardner (Kerry Hill), Gimli, MB; son, Jason, Edmonton, AB; grandchildren: Kerrigan, Korman and Jayden; common law parter, Darlene Renoof; sisters: Phyllis (Ken) Nickerson, St. Margaret’s Bay; Diane (Darrell) Carr, Gary, NB; brothers: Dyrek (Christa), Calgary, AB; Robert “Buba”, Gary, NB; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, David.
“Stormin” Norman lived life to the fullest and was loved by all and will be missed by all his biker friends.
A gathering for family and friends will take place from 1-4 pm, Saturday, July 9, at the Estabrooks Community Hall Lewis Lake, St. Margaret’s Bay Road.
