1924 – 2016
Irène Collette, 92 of Foyer Saint–Antoine and formerly of Dixon Point, Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Foyer Saint–Antoine on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. She was married to the late Lionel Collette (2012). Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late Donat and the late Mélina (Cormier) LeBlanc.
She will be sadly missed by her four daughter; Noëlla Maillet (Achille) of Bouctouche, Viola Maillet (Léo) of Wayland, Mass, Elisa St–Pierre (Jean–Paul) of Shediac, Cécile LeBlanc (Peter Pflanz) of Chelmsford, Mass, and her two sons; Raoul of Moncton and Gerald of Shediac, her thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great–grandchildren and two great–great–grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her three sisters; Hélèna Maillet (Antoine) of Dixon Point, Dorice Maillet of Moncton, Marie–Jeanne Topolnisky (Max) of Sudbury, one brother Aubrey of Bouctouche and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one grandson, Baby Joseph, two great–grandsons; Baby Justin and Alexandre, four sisters; Yvonne, Exelda, Aline, Anita and five brothers; Patrick, Aquilla, Alcide, Clorice and Alonzo.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Friday July 8, 2016 from 7 to 9 and on Saturday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint–Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11:00 am with interment in the Sainte–Anne–de–Kent parish cemetery.
In Irène’s memory donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Foyer Saint–Antoine.
