McGUIRE, RICHARD "DICK" HAROLD
Dick McGuire of Upper Queensbury, NB passed away on July 9, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. He was born in 1938 at Nackawick, NB, a son of the late Robert E. and Ida (Briggs) McGuire.

Dick was employed with the Labourers Union Local 900 and was a longstanding member of the Lr. Southampton Branch Royal Canadian Legion.

He is survived by his partner and best friend for over 20 years, Eldena (MacFarlane) Sharp, Upper Queensbury, NB; three brothers, Donald McGuire, Fredericton, NB, Robert McGuire (Carolyn), Quebec and Carl McGuire (Nancy), Ontario; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Marlowe, Elizabeth, Irma, Gordon, Neil, Verna and infant Perley.

Although there will be no visitation, friends are welcome to attend a funeral mass to be celebrated at St. Simon and St. Jude Catholic Church, 199 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB onWednesday, July 13, 2016 at 11 a.m. with celebrant Father Godwin Kalu. A reception will follow in the church hall. Interment at St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Dick, the family has suggested the St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery or a charity of the donor’s choice.
