Terrance Tourond

1951 – 2016
It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of a dear husband, loving father, caring grandfather and cherished great-grandfather, Terrance Raymond Tourond. Terry was born in Prince Albert on October 10, 1951, and resided there until three years ago when he made the big move to MacDowall. Terry found his future at the bowling alley where Lori Pocha substituted on his bowling team. They had a whirlwind courtship, and Lori embraced Terry and his two sons, Rodney and Robert, and they married 8 months later, making a happy family of four. The family grew with the arrival of Ryan in 1985 and Travis in 1989. Terry and Lori celebrated 37 years together on September 15, 2015. Terry was very proud of his sons and their families and enjoyed having them close. Terry worked hard all of his life to provide for his family and provide Lori with all of her dreams. He started his employment at Burns, then moved into construction, and the last 35 years he spent as a truck driver. He looked forward to retirement and had a renewed interest in hunting and fishing, and he planned many outings with the boys in the fall and winter. Terry loved to quad and, until he bought the farm, he spent many years camping. Terry will be sadly missed by his wife, Lori, his sons, Rodney (Gwen Hill), Robert (Ruby), Ryan (Holly), and Travis (Amy Bignose), his grandchildren, Heaven (Jesse), Savanna, Terry, Danielle (Jackson), Ryan Jr., and Agenor, his great-grandchildren, Blake, Annalynn, and Charlie, his sisters, Irene Parenteau, Bernadette (Randy) Schmidt, and Annie Schmidt, his mother-in-law, Edith Pocha, his brother-in-law, Todd Pocha, his sister-in-law, Delores Pocha, and his aunt, Clara Thomas. He was predeceased by his parents, Agenor and Alice, his brother, Napoleon, his father-in-law, Mike Pocha, his sister-in-law, Shelley Pocha, and his brothers-in-law, Douglas Schmidt and Aldie Parenteau. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A visitation will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, July 11, 2016, at River Park Memorial Chapel. Terry’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at St Michael’s Roman Catholic Parish, Father Travis Myrheim officiating. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Memorial Chapel, 306-764-2727, Don Moriarty, Funeral Director.
