It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of our wonderful father, grand-father, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, Terrance Murdock White, 68. He went very peacefully to his rest on Monday, July 11 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by his love ones.

Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife, Sheila (MacIsaac) White; daughter, Joanne White; brothers, Jackie and Freddie White; uncle and good buddy, Jimmy MacLellan; father and mother-in-law, Walter and Josephine MacIsaac; sister-in-law, Annette MacLellan; brother-in-law, Ray MacIsaac.
Left to mourn Terrance’s great loss are son, John (Alexis) White; grandchildren, Glenn (Keila), Johnny, Jessie; special grandsons, Anthony and Mark (Brittany); great-grandsons, Michael and Jacob. Terrance is also survived by sisters, Cathy Chiasson, Diane Copan (Bryan), Eileen White (Doug), Helen (Art) Frost; brothers, Wayne White (Cecilia), Joe (Carol) White; brothers-in-law, Lennie (Judy) MacIsaac, Frank MacIsaac; special friend, Mary Doyle; good buddy, Paulie MacNeil, as well as many nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.
Terrance worked as a coal miner in 26, 12, and Lingan collieries and also served as a draegerman for a while. He had a fun loving way about him and his witty sayings could boost your spirits, as well as his humorous dress-up for fun occasions. His greatest passion was sharing time with his family, to whom he was dearly devoted. His very generous heart and his door were always open to everyone. Terrance enjoyed the simple pleasures in life such as country music, a “cold one” on his patio swing, anything made with coconut, his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs and CNN. A country boy at heart, he enjoyed regular vacations and visits to his “happy place”, his summer residence in Deepdale (Inverness). If you were lucky enough to be loved by Terrance, you were lucky enough. He was a member of the former St. Agnes Parish. Terrance was also a member of the New Waterford Fish and Game Association and also New Waterford Pensioners Club.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A chapel service will take place on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10 a.m. with Deacon Leo Penny officiating. Interment will be held at St. Agnes Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the parish hall, Convent Street, all are welcome.
