Annie Rita (MacIsaac) Fricker passed away July 12, 2016 peacefully at the Northside Community Guest Home.
Born in Aspy Bay, Victoria County, on Nov. 10, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Madeline (Fraser/MacNeil) MacIsaac.
Mom was a woman of deep faith and a devoted Catholic. She was a homemaker who raised 10 children and loved all of them deeply along with her grandchildren. Mom loved to garden, she loved walking; listening to any kind of music; doing for others, and especially loved reading her Bible. She loved to talk about the ‘old times’ and her loving grandmother; her life in Aspy Bay and all of her family and friends.
She was a beloved mother to Ben (Julie), Shirley, Isabel (Terry) Carter, Andrew (Maxine), Cathy (Steve), Susan (David) Dowling, Mike (Bruce), Rosemary (Willard) Bonnar, Art (Angie) and daughter-in-law, Gail; grandmother to Brennan, Erin, Kieran, Christian, Stephanie, Leon, Joey, Alex, Terrance, Rebecca, Joshua, Annie, Mitchell, Dylan, Jeremiah, Amanda, Crystal, Chris, Aysha; great-grandmother to Chlara and Lucas; sisters-in-law, Mildred and Mary; siblings, Tina MacPherson, Jessie MacPherson, Florence MacDonald, John, Donald (Bunny) Susie. She will also be deeply missed by her roommate Sonya, whom she referred to as ‘Tonya’ and she was ‘Anna Banana’.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Ted; twin sons, Joseph and Edward; grandson, Benjamen; siblings, Mary, Margaret, Jim, Randly, Edward and twins Ronald and Joseph, Leo Theodore Fricker (the father of her children) as well as her son-in-law, Garry Tomiuk.
Visitation will take place at Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alder Point on Saturday, July 16 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Peter McLeod officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Johnson Road, North Sydney.
