Peacefully at his late residence in Brockton, on Friday, July 16, 2016, with his loving family by his side, of Emmett Fredrick Griffin, age 85 years. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis Elaine (nee Reilly) Griffin. Born at Brockton on June 2, 1931, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (nee O'Connor) Griffin. Loving father to Eric of Toronto; Patrick (Barb) of Edmonton; Mary (Dave) Gervais of Vallyview, Alberta; Fred (Candy) of Brockton; Charlene of Toronto; Karen Jodouin (Chris) of Trenton, Ont.; Paulette of Grande Prairie, Alberta; Rosemarie of Toronto; and Michael of Edmonton, Alberta. He will be sadly missed by his 16 grandchildren and by his four great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Doris (late Louis) Dunn of Alberton; Clarence (Wilma) of Brockton; Noreen (late Sterling) Jeffery of Alberton; Leigh (Elsie) of Cape Wolfe; Rosalie (late Reg) McCarthy of Hamilton, Ont.; and Marie (Clarence) Keefe of Ascension. He was predeceased by a brother, Wilfred (late Marie). Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday afternoon from St. Mark’s Church, Burton Lot 7, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. by Rev. Brendon Gallant, celebrant.
