It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Nanny, Anne Sarah Winchester, at the age of 74.
A resident of Harbourstone Enhanced Care, formerly of Meadows Road, Sydney Forks, passed away on Tuesday, July 19,2016, at Harbourstone with her family by her side.
Born in Digby, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Viola Pyne.
Anne will be missed dearly by her daughter, Cheryl (Tommy) Curry, Howie Center; her two sons, Bruce (Cathy) Regina and Dean (Marie) Edmonton; daughter-in-law, Shawna, Regina.
She leaves behind 9 grandchildren who were the light of her life, Bernard, Colin, Vanessa, Meghan, Jadyn, Jese, Nicholas, Kaitlyn and Nathan; one great grandson, Nixon.
Also left to mourn are her sisters, Geraldine Ettinger, Wolfville and Joan Douglas, Belleville; brother, Dean (Chris) Kingston, N.S., as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank Winchester; son, Ricky; sister, Eva Bower and brothers, Charles ‘Bev’, Edgar and Jerry Ray in infancy.
Anne was a strong, caring, fun-loving, good person who enjoyed music, dancing, cooking and spoiling Nalla (Dog).
She loved her family and grandchildren; she was the happiest when surrounded by them. The lives of her family and friends have been greatly enriched by her. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered.
The family wishes to express their sincerest thanks to the Staff of Harbourstone (Steelworkers Lane, her extended family) for the excellent care and dedication shown to our mom over the years.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
