BLANCHARD, Celeste Marie – age 84, Brunswick Street, Yarmouth, formerly of Springhaven, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born March 28, 1932 in Springhaven, she was a daughter of the late Remi Albeni and Esther (Morris) Blanchard. Celeste worked as a cook in Hamilton, Ont., where she lived most of her adult life with her sister. Being the loving and caring person that she was, she returned home in 1976 to care for her father. She is survived by a brother, Nelson Blanchard, Quinan, as well as by sisters, Loretta Muise, Quinan and Jeanette Mychailuk, Ontario and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister Loretta in infancy, as well as by brothers, Edward, Phillip, Ambroise, Raymond and Maurice Blanchard. A private graveside service and interment have taken place at St. Agnes Cemetery, Quinan. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to H.M.
