It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lillian Osborne announce her passing on Monday, August 8, 2016 Surrounded by her loving family at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 84 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Violet, Lorraine (Terry), Wanda (Greg Drover), Chelsey (Glenda), and Thomas, and Heather; grandchildren: Kerrylynn Osbourne, Michael (Denise Colson), Wanda (Jonathan) Downey, Crystal Colson, Lillian (Steve) Alexander, Thomas Layden, David Layden, Patricia Park (Dion), Crystal Scott, Sarah (Ismar) Horic, Jason Park, Jeremy Payne (Dawn) and Draper Antle; great grandchildren: Alayna and Ethan Downey, Victoria Osbourne (Sean), Ireland Wells, Olivia Wells, Tysen Wells, Christopher Wells, Shanice Colson, Robert Colson, Madison Melanson, Ryder Reader, Brandon Reader, Maxwell Alexander, Alaura Alexander and Dakota Payne; great great grandchildren: Braxton and Zoey Killian; brothers: Sydney (Irene), Abner (Faye), and Lawrence (Marion) Layden; sisters: Jane Prosper, Effie (Albert Churchill, Gertie Barrett, Alma (Lewis) Tapp and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and a very special friend Margaret Young. She was predeceased by her husband Fredrick in 2003, son: Maxwell in 2002, parents: Wallace and Florence Layden, brother: Gordon Layden, sisters: Isabel, Luff and Maude Tapp. The family would like to thank Dr. Hudson and Dr. Blackwood and the nurses and staff on 4AB and Palliative care for their special care of mom during her stay there. The family will be receiving friends from Fillatre's Funeral Home 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Wednesday, August 10th, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral service will take place from Humber United Church, Clarence Street on Thursday, August 11th at 10:30 AM with Reverend Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Humber United Church or to a Charity of One's Choice.
