Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Hospital on Thursday, August 11, 2016 of Kelligrews, aged 62 yrs. He was a former councillor of the Town of Conception Bay South and a past member of Conception Bay South Lions Club. Predeceased by his parents, Hazel and Harold French and brother Robert (Bob) French. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his children, Deidre Lewis (David), John Jr. (Rayvawn) and their mom Muriel Lewis, grandchildren, Parker and Sadie Lewis and Brayden French, brother Woodrow French (Shirley), sister Ruby Reedman, sister-in-law Elizabeth French and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Saturday from 7 - 9 pm, Sunday from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm, Monday from 10 -12 noon. Funeral service in St. Peter's Anglican Church, Upper Gullies on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 2 pm. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Upper Gullies.
