Geraldine Hazel Pynch - 88, formerly of Upper Dyke, Kings County, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Shannex-Blomidon Court in Greenwich. Born in Wolfville, she was the daughter of the late Earle and Margaret (Moore) Davidson. She worked at Glubes in Kentville for over 30 years. She loved to make pickles before her illness. She is survived by her daughter, Joan (Charlie) Newcomb, New Minas; her son, Robert (June), Hall's Harbour; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Myrtle (Don) Comeau, Centreville; Ella Alsey, Quebec; and Phyllis; brothers, Basil, Earl, Joey and Jimmy. She was predeceased by her former partner, Gordon Albert Burgess; her daughters, Sandra Doucet and Catherine Eye; her sons, Laurie Pynch, Richard Pynch, and Donald Pynch; sisters, Joyce, Helen and Darlene; brothers, Ralph, Buddy, Gerald and Reg. There will be no visitation, by family request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016, in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
