Passed peacefully away on August 17, 2016 at the Palliative Care Unit at the Leonard A. Miller Centre, St. John's, after a courageous Cancer journey, Joan Ford age 71 years. Predeceased by parents: Harold and Selma Phillips; sister Sadie on December 25, 2015 and nephew Steven on July 26, 2016. Leaving to mourn brothers: Ford, Jim and Fraser; sisters-in-law: Juanita and Linda; niece Madison and mother Jacqui; Sharon Stone and staff at Allison Manor where Joan resided for several years and very dear and special friends: Eileen, Charlene, Cindy, Elizabeth, George and Debbie who always brightened Joan's day with their many visits and little treats that meant so much to Joan. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Summerville United Church Cemetery.
