LOLA WILE. 1930-2016. Lola died suddenly on August 4, 2016. She was born in Falmouth, Nova Scotia, married in 1951 to Lawrence Wile who served in the air force. After a few moves within the service, he was stationed in Comox during the 60s, where they spent most of their married life. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Wile, and her parents, Ralph and Geraldine Burgess of Falmouth, N.S. and by her sister Ada Robinson, Falmouth, N.S., and her brother Jim Burgess, Dartmouth, N.S. She is survived by her two sons – Alex Wile (Mona), Comox, and Richard Wile (Bonnie), Burnaby; grandson Adam Wile (CJ), Courtenay, great granddaughter, Anaka; granddaughter Jennifer Wile, Calgary; her sister Eva Levy, Windsor, N.S., her brother Ralph Burgess (Sheila), Hantsport, N.S. and many nieces and nephews. Lola was a proud mother and stated many times that the most important job in life was being a mother. Her boys would testify that she was dedicated, attentive, and supportive throughout their boyhood years. Lola made her home at Berwick Retirement Residence for almost the past five years and will be missed by her Bridge Club members. A memorial was held on Aug. 26 in Comox. A family graveside service will take place in Falmouth on Sept. 24.
