Age 74, passed peacefully away at Pleasant View Towers on September 5, 2016 surrounded by the love of his family. Predeceased by his parents William and Margaret, brother Frank and infant son Francis. Ron is survived by Barbara, his loving and devoted wife of 53 years; children William (Diane), Ronald (Stacey), Paul (Robyn), Karen (Stephen) and Brian (Elaine); grandchildren Evan, Kelsey, Mark, Morgan and Jack; brothers William (Barb) and John (Mary); sisters Mary (Robert) and Madonna; and a large circle of family and friends. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to staff at Pleasant View Towers and Hoyles-Escasoni for their loving care, support and compassion throughout their family's journey with Alzheimer's. They would also like to thank Hubert Bourne and Don Morrissey for their frequent visits with Ron and support to Barb and the family. At Ron's request, cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on September 14 from 5-9 pm, September 15 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A celebration of life service will take place at Caul's Chapel on September 16 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in Ron's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
