It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Father and Poppy, Charlie White at the age of 70 on September 9, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of the late Betty White (2007). Beloved companion of the late Marg Tollar (2015). Loving father to Cheryl MacNeil (Alex), Shelley Bundzeak (Garry), Brad Giroux (Pam) and the late Allen Nohay (2015). Cherished Poppy to Tessa & Samantha, Krysta (Allan) and Steven, AJ and Bryce and his great-grandchildren, Emerson, Mackenzie, Scarlette and Everett. He will be greatly missed by his siblings, Melvin White (Mary), Hazel Williams (Tom), Peggy Allison (Ron), Thelma Johnston (David), Marcella McRae (Kenny), Diane White, Debbie Bonnar (Danny), Donnie White and Matilda McGregor. Predeceased by his parents, Melvin (John Boss) and Annie White. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends and his fur babies, Molly and Sassy. Charlie was a member of the Seafarers’ International Union of Canada, where he sailed on the great lakes for more than 50 years. Family will receive friends at the MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday September 15, 2016 from 10-11 with a celebration of his life taking place at 11 a.m.
We wish to express a sincere thank you to Anne Vocella, Steven and Charlie O’Handley, Christine from Paramed, the wonderful staff at the Walker Family Cancer Centre and all of the family and friends who came together to support our father in his time of need. Donations to Niagara Dog Rescue would be appreciated by the family.
