The death occurred peacefully, with family at her side, at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, of Gail Saunders (nee Gallant), beloved wife of Evan Saunders, of St. Patrick’s, aged 69. Gail was the loving mother of Lisa Saunders (George Francis), Adam Saunders (Beverley), Christopher Saunders (Lauraine) and Jonathan Whiteman-Saunders (Willa); and grandmother of Hadeya, Yeshua, Kezia, Pierce, Brooke, Jonathan, Joelle and Summer. She is also survived by her brothers, Gary, Joseph and Martin Gallant; and sisters, Elaine Yameen, Cindy Breton and Gina Wakelin; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Augustine and Margaret (Doucette) Gallant; and her brother, Scott. Respecting Gail’s wishes, there will not be a visitation. The funeral will be held in Central Queen’s Funeral Home Chapel, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 2p.m. Interment in Stella Maris Cemetery, North Rustico.
