1932-2016
Pearl Beatrice Landry, 84, of River Hebert, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Gables Lodge, Amherst. Born in River Hebert, Pearl was a daughter of the late Adlor and Sadie (Burbine) White.
Pearl was a member of the St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, and an active member of the River Hebert Community.
She enjoyed knitting, and crafts, and was an accomplished seamstress. She was passionate about cooking, in particular sweets.
Pearl worked hard for her family, both inside and outside of the home. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pearl is survived by her children, Roger (Erma) White, Amherst, Esther (David) Kinsman, River Hebert, Doug (Donna Dwyer, Amherst) Landry, Athol, Loretta (Bill) Reid, Riverview, NB, Barry (Sheila) Landry, River Hebert, and Michelle (Bruce) McKinnon, River Hebert; twelve grandchildren, Larry, Corey, Jodie, Amanda, Justin, Jim, Melissa, Kaylee, Aneshia, Christopher, Eric, and Melanie; twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Douglas in 1973, and two sisters, Alice Richard and Louise Comeau.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, Main Street, River Hebert, from where a time of visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with parish prayers at 7:30 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Friday at 2 pm from St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, River Hebert. Following the service, Pearl will be laid to rest with her husband in the St. Denis Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Pearl may be made to the CNIB, the Lung Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
