Age 90 of Bedford, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Friday, September 30, 2016. She was a daughter of the late John and Lillian MacDonald of Rice Point, P.E.I. Beloved wife of the late Stan Douglas for over 60 beautiful years. Survived by her loving daughter Brenda (Earl Haggerty), Lower Sackville, and dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Predeceased by brothers, Spurgeon and Allan; sisters, Reta and Julia. Mary was a member of the First Sackville Presbyterian Church, she enjoyed nature, flower gardening, reading and crossword puzzles. She loved travelling, most of all to P.E.I. to visit family and friends every year until it was difficult to do so. A special thank you to Dr. David MacNeil for 23 years of compassionate medical care and also thanks to Louise, Ann-Marie and Donna for their help. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 20 in the Atlantic Funeral Home Sackville Chapel, 125 Sackville Dr. at 2 p.m. with Reverend Jean MacAulay officiating.
