It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, father-in-law, brother, uncle and friend. Edgar Harrison Branton aged 72 passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday October 5, 2016 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital. Predeceased by parents Uriah and Melvina Branton; parents-in-law Francis and Kathleen Hanlon; sisters Marjorie Hemmings and Lilias Hemming. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is his wife and best friend of 48 years Rose (nee Hanlon); children Craig (Karen), Michelle (Desi Smith); grandchildren, Reece, Katelyn, Christine, Matthew; great-grandchild Bianca; sisters Robin (Zebedee Andrews) and Mary (Danny Reddy); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Mary (Frank Shannahan), Kay (John Joyce), Walter Hanlon (Sylvia), Colin Hanlon (Winnie), Barry Hanlon and Felix Keough (Bridget deceased) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral LeMarchant Road on Friday October 7 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place from Faith United Church in Thornlea on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 3 p.m. Interment to follow at Faith United Cemetery.
