Passed peacefully into the Light of Christ at Agnes Pratt Home a few hours past her 91st Birthday on Friday, October 7th, 2016, a long time resident of Gander. Now reunited with her dearly beloved husband James Maloney (1965) and her precious daughter Rosie (1998) along with her brothers Gus, Mike and Ambrose Power and sisters Lucy Nies, Mary Campbell, Sadie Keough, Anne Frances Harty, Bernetta Gallahue and twin sister Dorothy Devereaux. Thankful and feeling blessed for her long life are her loving family Geraldine (Gerri) Maloney, Clarice (Gerard Brien) her dearly loved grandsons Frank (Amy) Brien and Stephen Brien (Jelissa Manning), sisters-in-law Joan Power (Gus) and Cecilia Maloney, Gander along with many nieces, nephews and friends whose company delighted her. Visitation will be held at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Sunday, October 9th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter's Church, Ashford Drive, Mount Pearl on Monday, October 10th at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flower arrangements will be gratefully accepted. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the dedicated and caring staff of Agnes Pratt Home for their many services through the years and especially to us on the last days of her Journey.

Our Mother followed the Gospel Message in living her life for the service to others. Our recently canonized Saint Teresa of Calcutta said "What can you do to promote world peace? Go home and love your family." Our Mother believed and lived those words and expressed it in her daily life. She was our very own saint, our Mother, Theresa.
