DEVEAU, Carol Anne – age 57, Yarmouth, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the QE II Health Sciences Centre (Infirmary Site), Halifax. Born May 14, 1959 in Salmon River, she was a daughter of the late Nelson and Fedora (Comeau) Deveau. Carol Anne worked as a fish processor with Schooner Seafoods. She was a member of the Yarmouth Special Olympics, with whom she was a coach for 15 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing puzzles and playing on her computer. She loved animals, especially her cat, Fluffy and her dog, Gizmo. She will be remembered by her family and many friends as a hard worker who was always on the go and who was lots of fun to be with. She is survived by her lifelong friend, Susan E. Hudson, as well as by siblings, Elmer Deveau, Villa Acadienne, Meteghan; Vern Deveau, Digby; Eddie (Sharron) Deveau, Yarmouth; Carl Deveau, Salmon River; James (Christine) Deveau, St. Benoni; Susan Deveau, Yortkton, SK; a brother-in-law, Robert LeBlanc, Mavillette; aunt, Geraldine Gillian, Amityville, NY, as well as special nephew, Jonathan LeBlanc and special niece, Sabrina LeBlanc along with many other nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Erna LeBlanc and Lucie Garcia. Visitation will take place from 7-9 Tuesday, October 25 at H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth, where the memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 26, Rev. Mr. Stephen Bourque officiating. Interment will follow in St. Vincent-de-Paul Cemetery, Salmon River. It has been requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Yarmouth Special Olympics.
