It is with great sadness that the families of the late Donald James Bennett announce his passing on Sunday, October 23rd, 2016, at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility in Corner Brook, NL, at the age of 94 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his children Curtis (Mae), Irene, Bernard (Daisy), Graham (Lorraine), 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren, his sisters Margaret (Gordon), Anna (Walter) and Jessie, his brothers Lloyd (Louise), Gerald (Joyce), Eric (Dulcie) and Raymond, daughter-in-law Colleen Bryan, and special friend Sylvia Blanchard. Donald was predeceased by his wife Hilda, sons Daniel and Ralph, his parents Katherine and Robert, sisters Olga and Stella, brother Con, and son-in-law Foster Payne. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family, and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends from St. Paul's Anglican Church in St. Paul's, NL, on Tuesday, October 25th, 2016, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm, and continuing on Wednesday, October 26th, 2016, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Thursday, October 27th, 2016 at 2 pm, with Rev.
