Harvey Nehemiah Earle Smith passed away on October 21, 2016 at his private residence in Cook’s Harbour at the age of 71 years. He leaves to mourn his niece Tammy (Claude); great-niece Lilly; nephew Ephriam (Jennifer); brother Leavitt Smith; sisters Linda Hedderson, Rose Desmaris (Keith), Marilyn Saunders, Jessie Colbourne (Tony), Elsie Osmond, and Lucinda Colbourne (Lorne); nieces and nephews Scott, Brett, Sharon, Mary, Marie, Stacey, Kim, Amy, Melanie, Michelle, Michael, Lori, and Lorenda as well as many other great nieces and nephews, and special friends Alex, Alpheaus, and Julie Smith. He was predeceased by his parents Cecil and Florence Smith, brother Stanley Smith, nephew Levi Colbourne and brothers-in-law William Hedderson and Havner Saunders. Visitation took place at the Anglican Church in Cook’s Harbour from where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 25 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Diane Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Wild Bight Branch Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
