It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hilda Luedee announces her passing on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Acadian Village at the age of 92. Born in Stephenville, she was the daughter of the late John and Clarice (Benoit) Bourgeios. Hilda will be sadly missed and forever loved by her children, Juanita (Francis) Bennett, Doyles, Priscilla (William) Leamon, St.Andrew’s, Francis (Joan) Luedee, St.Andrew’s, Gerald (Margaret) Luedee, Acton, Ontario, Melinda (Gerald) O’Quinn, St.Andrew’s, Bernardine (David) Ryan, St.Andrew’s, Raymond Luedee (Clara McArthur) Codroy, Micheal (Kimberly) Luedee, Guelph, Ontario, Adrian Luedee, Milton, Ontario, Viola (James) Lush, Gander, Irene (Rick) Scarf, Bonneville, Alberta, and Ralph (Barbara) Luedee, Cold Lake, Alberta, twenty five grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren, sister, Patricia White, Stephenville, Sister Patrice Bourgeois and brother, Fintan Bourgeois (Sadie St. Croix), Stephenville, as well a large circle of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, William Luedee, sons, Patrick and William Luedee Jr. and daughter, Ralphine Luedee and granddaughter, Priscilla Luedee. The family will receive friends at the Church of Precious Blood in St. Andrews on Thursday, November 3, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a wake service Friday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 5 at 10:00 a.m. from the Precious Blood Church with Father Lee Lainey officiating, with interment to follow at Precious Blood Cemetery, St. Andrew's. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the ALS Society NL, 3 Herald Av, Corner Brook, NL A2H 4B8. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Port-aux-Basques. Words of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting ww.fillatre.ca.
