Passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, following a lengthy battle with cancer, her supportive family always by her side, Marg Chafe, age 75 years. She will be dearly missed but always remembered by her devoted and beloved husband of 51 years, Alonzo (Lons) Chafe; her loving daughters: Susan Chafe and Beverly Mouland (David); her grandchildren whom she adored: Joshua Mouland and Ryan Chafe-Quinlan; her siblings: Austin Gosling (Margaret), Sheila Edison and Walter Gosling Jr.; sisters-in-law: LaRaine Gosling, Elsie Gibbonhuck and Vera Kennedy (Ray); brother-in-law Ralph Chafe; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends. Visitation will be held from Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Friday, November 11, from 7-9 pm and on Saturday, November 12, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service celebrating Marg's life will take place from Church of the Ascension, Mount Pearl, on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 2 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Marg's memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation, in lieu of flowers.
