Our wonderful and cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Florence Petten of Foxtrap, left her earthly journey to be re-united with the love of her life Nicholas (Nick) and her infant baby daughter on November 13, 2016, at the age of 88 years. She was predeceased by her parents George Ben and Nellie (Coates) Petten, sisters Stella Perrin, Rosalie Dawe and brother and sister-in-law Alfred and Nina Petten. Leaving to mourn with many wonderful memories daughters Daphne Hender (Frank), Marion Hope (Paul), Myrtle Fowler (Ern), and her devoted son Boyd. Her adoring grandchildren Lisa Warren (Donnie), Nicholas Hender (Kelly), Nicole Hope (Barry), Matthew Hender (Melissa), Christopher Hope (Mikhaela), Rebecca Hender and step-grandson Cory Fowler (Krista), will miss the wisdom, humour, friendship, love and support of their "Muddy". She dearly loved her great-grandchildren Kyle and Nathan Warren, Stella and Arthur Hender, and step great-grandchildren Nicole and Kerri Fowler who brightened her day and brought her great pleasure. Also leaving to mourn sisters Lucy Petten and Evelyn Morgan and many nieces, nephews, friends, and special niece Sharon Dawe (Lloyd). She was a faithful member of All Saints Church ACW and altar guild as well as the Girl Guide Trefoil Guild. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors of 4 South B at the Health Science and her family doctor, Dr. Tom Brien, for his years of devoted special care. Also special thanks to Reverend Sam Butler whose visits and prayers always lifted her spirits. Visitation at Hickey's Funeral Home, Kelligrews, Wednesday from 10-12 am, 2-4 pm, and 7-9 pm, and Thursday 10-12 am. Funeral service on Thursday November 17th, 2016, at 2 pm at All Saints Anglican Church Foxtrap. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Church Road, Foxtrap. Flowers greatly accepted or donations in her memory may be given to All Saints Restoration Fund or the Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation.
