It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Thomas Hall on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Thomas and Virginia (Sampson) Hall. Tom was a pipefitter by trade and was a member of Local 682. Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling with Marie. He also enjoyed tinkering in the garage fixing cars and trucks.
He is survived by his children, William “Billy” (Norine), Murray (Alison), Phillip “Sam” (Joan), Linda Hall Wall, Kenneth (Joanne); 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Lawrence “Babe” (Gwen), David (Pat), Bernie (Johnena), as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Anne Marie. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. A memorial service will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2016 in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Bill Burke. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
