The family of the late George Mercer would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the many relatives and friends for the amazing love and support shown to us during the loss of our loved one.

Special thanks goes out to the Zion Pentecostal Church pastor, Pastor Sacrey and the Zion Ladies Auxillary. The delicious meals provided to our family home daily and at the final reception was beyond kind.

Russell’s Funeral Home, we are forever grateful for your professionalism and help with all the arrangements. We also appreciated your expressions of respect by displaying the “accordion background” at the open visitation.

Many thanks to Dr. L. Vermaak, Dr. McComiskey, the ER doctors and staff of the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital for all of their help throughout this difficult year. Special thanks to Melanie Alexander, PHN and palliative care nurse Jennifer White for your care during and after Dad’s passing.

We would also like to thank everyone for the outpouring of flowers, food items, gifts, care to our family and donations to the Bay St. George Sick Children’s Foundation.

A gracious thank you to the many family and friends who had to travel from away to attend the funeral. Your presence meant so much to us.

He will be missed more than words can say, but will remain in the hearts of those who share in the grief of his passing.
