ROSE JASNOCH
1919 – 2016
Rose Angeline Jasnoch was born on Friday, December 26, 1919 in Wakaw, SK and passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 96 years. Rose’s passions and hobbies included playing cards and bingo, especially at the Heritage Center and East Hill, knitting and cooking. Her family, which was her most special passion and love, especially remembers her homemade soups. Rose was an active CWL member at St. Michael’s Church, often preparing funeral lunches for the church. She was instrumental in organizing the seniors clubs at the church for playing Kaiser and Crib. Church was very important to her and she went faithfully every Sunday. Although Rose never had her driver’s licence, she was able to get around to all of her various events without any trouble. She even had the bus drivers trained to drop her off at her front step. Rose will be remembered by her loving family, her children, Doreen (Don) Bruce, John (Diane) Jasnoch and Jim (Shelley) Jasnoch, her grandchildren, Kim (Brad) Yelland, Katherina Bruce (Doug), Donna (Mitch) Herzog, Jannah (Todd) Nicholson and Jonathan (Carlye) Jasnoch, and her great-grandchildren, Matthew and Taylor, as well as her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Jasnoch, her brothers, Henry (Mary) and Clifford (Lorraine), her nieces, Agnes Brandrick and Janet Howells, and her great-nephew, Ricky Knowles. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2016 at River Park Funeral Home, Father DJ Vu and Deacon Eldon Danielson officiating. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories in Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Mont St. Joseph Home and the Victoria Hospital for the great care that was provided to Rose. Donations in Rose’s memory can be made to the Mont St. Joseph Foundation, 777 28th Street East, Prince Albert, SK, S6V 8C2 or the Prince Albert Cooperative Health Center, 110 8th Street East, Prince Albert, SK, S6V 0V7.
