It is with heartfelt sadness that we the family announce the peaceful passing of Viola MacNeil on November 15, 2016 at Seaview Manor in Glace Bay. Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Johnnie and Theresa MacDonald. Viola loved to spend time with her family, she loved to see her grandchildren grow and meet all their friends that came in and out of the house. She is survived by daughter, Deborah (Michael) Hanrahan; sons, John Joe (Thelma), Gerry (Anna), Tommy (Margie), Darrel (Annmarie) and Michael (Shelia); 15 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by husband, Neil; sisters, Susie Morrison, Ette MacIntosh and a brother, Alex.
Visitation for Viola will take place on Sunday November 20 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St, Glace Bay. Funeral Service will be held on Monday November 21 at 11 a.m. in Patten Funeral Home Chapel. Online condolences can be sent to www.pattenfuneral .com
