William George LeBlanc

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved father and husband, ‘Willie’ who passed away peacefully on November 15, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by family. Born July 13th 1944, he was the son of the late Simon and Delvina (Poirer) LeBlanc.
Willie is survived by his loving wife, Anne (Routledge) LeBlanc and children, William (Anita)LeBlanc, David LeBlanc, Laurie Marsh (Mark), Cathy Marsh (Victor) and Darren LeBlanc; grandchildren, Brian LeBlanc, Holly LeBlanc, Ashley LeBlanc, Leha LeBlanc, Devon LeBlanc, Dillon Tweedie, Jamie MacDonald, Brian Marsh; brother, Albert (Erma) LeBlanc.
He leaves behind many loving great grandchildren and extended family as well. Willie was predeceased by brothers, Alex and George; sisters, Bea, Millie, Rita and Marg. Thank you to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, you helped our father laugh and enjoy the last precious days of his life. Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2016, with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. A reception to follow.
