Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, November 19, 2016, Laura Snow of Clarke's Beach, aged 82 years. A kind hearted woman who loved her family, she was a gentle soul who spent her life helping others both at home and at work, looking after her family and caring for patients as part of her vocation as a PCA at Critch's Nursing Home. She was able to enjoy life up until her last day, when she visited relatives and went out to dinner to celebrate her husband's 85th birthday. Laura loved to go on vacations with her family and attend church when she was able. She was a loving wife and mother and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She spent every day lovingly taking care of her grandchildren when they were small and continued to be a steadfast part of their lives as they grew. She will be remembered with affection and sorrowfully missed. She leaves behind broken-hearted Aubrey Snow, her devoted husband of 60 years, their children Valorie Lynch (Randy) and Aubrey Snow Jr. (Karen), grandchildren Randye and William, her brothers Allan and Fredrick (Eileen), sisters Florence and Jesse (Lloyd Piercey), sister-in-law Verna Smith (Donald-deceased) and brother-in-law Harold Snow (Emmie). She is predeceased by her daughter Rosalie, her parents Miriam and Charles Dawe, her parents-in-law Harold and Myrtle Snow, her brothers Edward (Sybil), Walter (Gwen - still living), Charles (Mary) and William and brother-in-law Alvin Snow (Nina - still living). Laura was a good Christian and a firm believer in God and is resting at the United Church in Clarke's Beach. Visitation will take place Sunday from 2-10 pm, Monday from 9:30 am - 10 pm and Tuesday from 9:30 am - 12 pm. The funeral service will take place at 2 pm Tuesday at Clarke's Beach United Church, with interment to follow at United Church Cemetery.
