JACKSON, Gloria Patricia (née Schoenau)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016 at the age of 65 years. Gloria was born on May 12th, 1951 in Moose Jaw, SK, to Jack and Lauretta Schoenau of Mawer, SK. Gloria married Ross Jackson on July 14th, 1973. She farmed together with her husband for forty years, and worked for thirty years as a school teacher in Central Butte, SK. Other than her beloved family, her passions were painting, boating, playing guitar and the piano, singing, reading, traveling, and having a good time. She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Lauretta Schoenau. Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 43 years, Ross Jackson; daughters, Delaney Jackson (Devon) and Justine Anderson (Barrett); and grandchildren: Adysson, Aunna, and Drew. She is also survived by her brothers, Greg Schoenau (Jeanette) and Jeff Schoenau (Lynne); as well as her extended family and countless friends. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 29th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3rd Ave NW, Moose Jaw, SK. with Father Rick Krofchek as presiding celebrant. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Janet Lalonde and the Moose Jaw Palliative Care program. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre St, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.
