Clarence Harmon Acorn, 1951-2016. It is with broken hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Clarence ‘Clary’ Acorn of Pictou, on Tuesday, November 29th, 2016. He was predeceased by his father Otto and his mother Doris. Clary leaves behind to mourn him, the love of his life, Dorothy Johnston; sons, Darren, Ricky, Allan; daughter, Alisha; step-daughter, Kristina; grandchildren, Morgan, Molly, Caden, Della, Blake and Carson. He is also survived by his brother, Gerald (Carol), BC; a sister, Rita (Robert), BC; nephews, Chris, Michael, Jay, Tommy and a niece, Tammy, all of BC. He was predeceased by a nephew, Steven. He leaves behind many caring uncles, aunts, cousins and loyal friends from Nova Scotia, PEI and BC. Clary was born in Montague, PEI on Sept 27th, 1951. He grew up in Pictou County, spent many years on Vancouver Island, and settled in Murray River, PEI where he owned and operated a lobster fleet before retiring to his hometown of Pictou. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Saturday, Dec 3rd from 2 – 4 PM in the McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. A family service will take place after visitation. A memorial will take place at a later date in Haliburton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society, the V.O.N. Pictou County, or a charity of your choice.
