It is with great sadness that the family of Rhodena Cochrane announce her passing on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital in St. John's at the age of 58. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories, her husband David Cochrane, sons: Wesley (Charlene) and Lee (Melissa), granddaughter Megan and her mom Janeeca, brothers and sisters: Bryant Blanchard, Isaac Blanchard (Serina), Sheila Blanchard, Maysie Samson, Wilfred Blanchard (Frances), Lillian Caines, Valerie Brake (Gordon), Alvin Blanchard (Juanita), Meta Hiscock (Gary), Ward Blanchard (Geneva), Eva Collett, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents Minnie and Johnny Blanchard, brother Rufus Blanchard, sister-in-law Bertha Blanchard, brother-in-law David Caines, nephew Harold Blanchard. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. Friends visited Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street Sunday from 2-4 pm followed by a prayer service at 4 pm. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
