LeBLANC, Adèle Rose – age 93, Lower Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born January 16, 1923 in Wedgeport, she was a daughter of the late Emilien and Agnes (Cottreau) Jacquard, and she was a homemaker. She is survived by a son, Arthur (Inez) LeBlanc, Lower Wedgeport, as well as by a grandson, Dwayne (Kim) LeBlanc and great granddaughters, Felicia and Emily, Adele’s pride and joy and to whom she spoke her last words; she will be greatly missed. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Walter J. LeBlanc, as well as by brothers, Victor, Michel, Reggie and Eddie; sisters, Leona Pothier, Marguerite Pothier, Lucie Boudreau and Madeline Boudreau and a grandson, Dwayne. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Thursday with prayers at 8 p.m. at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport. The funeral mass was held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 9 at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Michael’s Parish Cemetery Fund or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
