Belben, David Maxwell, 69, Bible Hill, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Bridgetown, he was a son of the late Florence Belben. David was the caretaker at the Immaculate Conception Church Truro. He formerly worked for the Youth Training Centre in Bible Hill and later at the NSCC, Truro Campus. David was a kind hearted person and had a great love for animals.
He is survived by his wife Doreen (Cameron) Belben of Burnt Church, NB; son Andrew of Bible Hill; long-time friend Ann O’Donnell; close friends Faith and Rick.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro from where visitation will take place on Sunday from 6-8 pm. Funeral service will take place on Monday, Dec. 12th at 11am in the Immaculate Conception Church, 669 Prince Street, Truro. Father Dariusz Miskowicz will officiate with a reception to follow in the church hall. Burial will take place at later date in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. Donations in David’s memory may be made to the SPCA Truro or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
