It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Keats Sr. announces his peaceful passing at his residence on November 26, 2016. He leaves to mourn, his loving wife of 68 years Jane (Mitchelmore); seven children: Lydia (Dave), Bonnie, Ellen (Calvin), Samuel (Barbara), Edna (John), Joseph Jr (Nancy), and David (Karen); and special daughter/granddaughter Deanne (Fred); brother Ralph (Mabel); sister Gertie (Lloyd); sisters-in-law Janet and Florrie, as well many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, and a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Emma, brothers Raymond and Baxter as well as his sister Edna. Visitation was held at Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony beginning on Sunday, November 27 and continuing until the funeral which was held at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in St. Anthony at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29 with Rev. Katie Flynn officiating. Interment followed in the St. Anthony Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director. Flowers and donations will be graciously accepted by the family or a charity of one’s choice.
