GERALD FRANK CARLINE
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gerald Frank Carline announce his passing on Dec. 8, 2016. Predeceased by his parents, Ellen and Frank Carline and his brother Brian; Gerry is survived by his wife of fifty years Gail (Towriss), daughter Michelle Gallagher (Andrew), son Greg Carline (Tara); Granddaughters Rachael, Paige and Claire; sister Roberta Arens (Bill) and extended family. Gerry was a teacher at all levels of education and later became a successful business consultant. His main passions were for his family, his country, the Canadian Military and Canada's military history. Gerry was the Lieutenant Colonel of the 10th Field Regiment (Regina) and an Honourary Lieutenant Colonel of the Saskatchewan Dragoons in Moose Jaw. His passion for history led him repeatedly to the first and second World War battlefields in which he assisted many families in honouring their relatives and where he was inspired to become an author. He was instrumental in researching and restoring Moose Jaw's war memorial and honouring Canada's Military with his annual Remembrance concerts. A Memorial Service will be on Tuesday December 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Minto United Church. Reverend Linda Tomlinson-Seebach will officiate.
