Morgan McNaught age 51 years of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan died on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Morgan was born at Climax, Saskatchewan on June 12, 1965 and grew up on the family farm. He attended the Climax and Frontier schools. After graduating from high school he worked on the oil rigs in the Estevan area, then attended technical school in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan where he received his Certificate in Journeyman Automotive Mechanics. Morgan's Dad instilled a love of farming in him at an early age. Morgan worked in the oil patch, as a mechanic at implement and automotive dealerships, and at a northern fishing camp.
Morgan married Michelle Girodat on October 8, 1999 and had one child. Morgan continued to work in the oil patch and on the farm. He enjoyed being a volunteer fireman, going to auctions, and visiting on coffee row with numerous friends. His family and friends were very important to him and next to that he loved farming.
He was predeceased by his mother Verna McNaught (Havervold) on May 26, 2002 and his father James (Jim) McNaught on January 21, 2003.
He is survived by his wife Michelle and son Chandler of Shaunavon, his sister Brenda Bitschy (Jim Ward) of Swift Current, his brother Robin McNaught (Thalia) of High River, Alberta, his mother and father-in-law Marilyn and Gordon Girodat of Gull Lake, brothers-in-law Norman Girodat (Cindy) of Gull Lake and Dale Girodat (Roxane) of Regina, sisters-in-law Denise Willows (Kevin) of Tompkins and Cheryl Friday (Joe) of Maple Creek as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held from Christ the King R. C. Church in Shaunavon on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Father John Mock officiating. Interment took place at St. Mary’s R. C. Cemetery at Shaunavon. Binkley’s Funeral Service of Shaunavon (www.Binkleys.com) was in charge of the arrangements
