With heavy hearts we regret to announce the passing of Linda Jean Thomson of Railway Street, Glace Bay. Linda passed away peacefully on December 17, 2016 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Born in Glace Bay she was a daughter of Alfred and Jean Gracie. In earlier years Linda worked at General Instruments then Cameron’s Dry Cleaners. Following marriage, she spent her greatest years looking after her husband, Joe and daughter, Jody. She is survived by her husband, Joe; daughter, Jody Richards (Scott) and grandsons, Lucas and Jake; brothers, Gerald (Porky), Wayne, Brian and her sisters, Kim (James) and Helen (Jerry). Linda was predeceased by her father, Alfred and brother, Tubby. Mom loved time spent at home with us and her daily evening drives with dad. Her kindness, strength of will and love of family will be greatly missed in our everyday lives. Cremation has taken place under the direction of T. J. Tracey Cremation & Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay (902) 849-4199. Burial at a later date.
